Person Tracking by Integrating Optical Flow and Uniform Brightness Regions

چکیده
This paper describes a method to track a person by integrating two cues: optical ow and uniform brightness regions, where optical ow cannot be obtained. This method works even if tracking with either optical ow or uniform brightness regions may fail. The proposed method is implemented on a realtime image processor with multiple DSPs and successfully tracked a target person using a real image sequences.

Robot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory
A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...
متن کاملTracking a Person with 3-D Motion by Integrating Optical Flow and Depth
This paper describes a method of tracking a person with 3-D translation and rotation by integrating optical ow and depth. The target region is rst extracted based on the probability of each pixel belonging to the target person. The target state (3-D position, posture, motion) is estimated based on the shape and the position of the target region in addition to optical ow and depth. Multiple targ...
متن کاملAn adaptive optical flow technique for person tracking systems
Optical flow can be used to segment a moving object from its background provided the velocity of the object is distinguishable from that of the background, and has expected characteristics. Existing optical flow techniques often detect flow (and thus the object) in the background. To overcome this, we propose a new optical flow technique, which only determines optical flow in regions of motion....

Measuring positions, velocities and accelerations/decelerations of individual vehicles in congested traffic with standard traffic monitoring equipment, such as inductive loops, are not feasible. The behavior of drivers in the different traffic situations, as re-quired for microscopic traffic flow models, is still not sufficiently known. Remote sensing and computer vision technology are recently...
متن کاملPeople Re-identification in Non-overlapping Field-of-views using Cumulative Brightness Transform Function and Body Segments in Different Color Spaces
Non-overlapping field-of-view (FOV) cameras are used in surveillance system to cover a wider area. Tracking in such systems is generally performed in two distinct steps. In the first step, people are identified and tracked in the FOV of a single camera. In the second step, re-identification of the people is carried out to track them in the whole area under surveillance. Various conventional fea...
